Patience had her first softball game yesterday. It was at home, so we went to watch after school. It was fun. Her team won and she played a good part of the game (left field). She also hit the ball at least once, and scored at least one run with a really great slide. The transition from baseball to softball has been a good one, and she's glad she tried out. It may take us a little longer to figure out the (minor) rule/game differences and the completely different feel of the game (all girls, seemed very fast w/a lot of walks, stealing...). I think we won 13-2 and while I knew we got more runs, it didn't feel that lopsided from where we were sitting. In any case, go team!
